- To prevent email authentication issues, we recommend that you generate and use an App Password for authentication of your Gmail or Yahoo account in FieldX Office.
If you are having authentication issues when sending emails from FieldX Office on the PC, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of FieldX Office from dashboard.fieldx.com, and begin using the FieldX email service provider to send your messages.
If you prefer using your own email service provider, many email providers work best with a generated App Password. The instructions below will help you set up an app password for Gmail® or Yahoo® that will be used in FieldX® OfficeTM. This will be more reliable and secure solution compared to logging in using your primary email credentials.
